On January 7, renowned actor Adam Rich went away at the age of 54. His participation in several TV series and movies made him well-known.

Rich’s longtime friend and fellow writer Mary Elizabeth McDonough posted a tribute to him on Facebook:

//”Everyone here is joining me on a ski vacation. Melissa and I could be wearing bunny ears. As young performers, we share a unique connection. We all experienced a great deal as children growing up in public. It’s a unique feeling that only we can partially comprehend. This news has made me sad. Adam, I hope you are soaring with the angels.\\

Kim Richards, the CEO and Chairman of Allied Artists, also shared his sorrow on Facebook by praising Rich as a gifted voice actor, writer, and actor:

// He had many very public run-ins with addiction and worked extremely hard his whole life to stay sober, falling sometimes. He was the prototypical child star. Dick Van Patton, Adam’s television father, took parental responsibilities extremely seriously. He mentored Adam and supported him during some of his worst moments.\\

There is no information on whether Adam had any health difficulties, and the reason for his death has not yet been made public.

Over the course of his career, he had five appearances in movies, beginning with the 1977 crime drama The City. The fantasy comedy The Devil and Max Devlin from 1981 came next. The following three were Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, An Eight Is Enough Wedding, and Eight Is Enough: A Family Reunion.

The Six Million Dollar Man, Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, ChiPs, Tukiki and His Search for a Merry Christmas, 3-2-1 Contract, CBS Children’s Mystery Theatre, Small Wonder, Silver Spoons, Small Wonder, and Baywatch were among the other TV series in which Adam Rich appeared.
